How to setup Valve Hammer Editor with ZHLT
by Robert Engdahl (That Egir guy)
I asume you have allready installed Valve Hammer Editor. You need some
compiler tools to make the mapfiles Hammer uses into bsp Halflife or
Counter-Strike uses. Some are alreaddy shipped with Hammer, but they
literally suck. So Zoner made us some better compiler tools, known as
Zoners Half-life Tools (ZHLT).
Download ZHLT
Goto http://zhlt.info/download-zhlt.html at ZHLT.info to
download ZHLT.
Extract the downloaded file to a directory of your choise on the
same drive as Counter-Strike and Hammer.

Launch Valve Hammer Editor. Click Tools and then Options like on
the picture below.

Now the following dialogbox will apear. Click the tab labeled
"Build Programs". A green arrow will point you to the tab on the
picture below.

Now the following dialogbox should apear.

Browse to the directory of all the executables and where to put the
map when compiled.
Game executable is the .exe file you launch Counter-Strike or
Half-life with. If you use Halflife its hl.exe, Counter-Strike retail
its cstrike.exe and STEAM hl.exe. They will be in the root of your
Counter-Strike or Halflife installation. If you use steam that would
be "Steam\SteamApps\egir@egir.dk\counter-strike". Substitute
egir@egir.dk with your own email adress.
CSG, BSP, VIS and RAD are compiler executeables. They can all be
found in the directory you extracted ZHLT to.
The "Place compiled maps in this directory before running the
game:" is pretty self-explaining. If using the old Counter-Strike or
Halflife just browse to your cstrike/maps directory. If you use Steam
you might need to create the cstrike/maps directories in
"Steam\SteamApps\egir@egir.dk\counter-strike".
You hae now succesfully installed ZHLT.
