Hmm.. I where sitting in my bed drawing some scetches of new maps that I'm going to make.. Then it crossed my mind that my brother and his friends wanted a nice terrain based colt/ak map to play around in.. So I sat down and started to do the terrain, as I had did all the other times..

     But this time I thought that a guide about how to make an nice terrain without getting the anyoing error Invalid Solid Brush when you press Alt+P and look for errors.. It allways (if you don't know this or the cube method) appears a error like this

      So I thought that I would learn you how to make low poly and non error terrain like the pros do... Keep reading and in the future you can brag about how you make terrain as the pros do....

Step 1

      Make a flat brush in any size that you like on your ground and texture it with a ground texture (ex: grass, rock etc..)

Step 2

      Use the Clipping tool and cut the brush into small brushes

Step 3

     Mark all the small brushes and draw a "Clipping" line across the whole brush as the picture shows

Step 4

      Do the same on the other way and then mark the brushes one by one that haven't been cut in two halfs and cut them in two halfs and when every small brush is cut it will look something like this..

Step 5

     When you make you terrain, put a smaller grid on (to make the terrain good looking) and use the Vertex Tool to rise the corners of the triangles

Step 6

     Not the only thing left is the fun thing.. The terrain making, I can't tell you that you should follow my example or anything , it's just up to ur imagination how your terrain will look.

     The only thing I can tell you is that you have to rise every triangles corner that points to the first point that you have rised (if you don't rise every point it will appear kinda strange and it will be like a edge in you terrain) as the picture shows

Step 7

      And voila, the terrain is done, and this is my terrain

     And when I press Alt+P this image shall display

Step 8

      Now you got your pro terrain, and one last thing before I end this guide.. Don't start to tare your hair apart if it doesn't work the first time.. Have patient, everything cant work on the first try.. just do it all over again.. and it will work.. i'm sure about that... just give it some time... that were all foks.. Iceman over and out..
