Be sure to read all of the license agreement. Thats why Valve put it there. In case you are european, you're are expected to make your own descisions and you may deside on your own wether you think its a good idea to read it. When you are done with reading, if you did that, clik "I Agree".

Browse to the directory where you would like to install Valve Hammer Editor. This directory should be on the same drive letter as your Counter-Strike 1.6 (STEAM) is installed, or else you will experience compiling problems. Click "Next" to proceed.

Leave the start menu setings to its default and click "Next".

      Click "Next"

Files will the be copied and you will end at this window. Leave the radiobutton to where its shown on the picture above.

Click the finnish button, because we did it. We installed Valve Hammer Editor 3.4.

Updating to Valve Hammer Editor 3.5

The ZIP-file hammer_testbuild04.zip, which can be downloaded from http://collective.valve-erc.com/index.php?go=hammer_beta, as mentioned before contains an updated version of Hammer.exe.

Simply extract the file with winzip and copy it to the same directory in which you installed Valve Hammer Editor 3.4, overwriting the old executable.

Answer yes when asked if you want to overwrite the existing file hammer.exe.
