How to make pipes - part 2
by Iceman

This is part 2 of the pipes tutorial, and in this part I'll try to teach you how to make a pipe that acctually bends. Now I got your attention, didn't I? Shall we begin then? Oh, one thing first... I recommend you to read the first part before you go on and read this one. Now let's get ready to rumble, erhm or just, let's begin...

Step 1: Makeing the pipe parts

I'm using the same room as i did in the other pipe tutorial just because i'm lazy ;o). Now make one longer pipe, and one shorter and place them as the picture below shows:

Step 2: "Filling" the gap

Clone the long pipe to fill the gap, select the pipe part and click twice with your mouse button. Now drag the edge of the cloned pipe to the short pipe. If you don't understand, look at the picture below:

Step 3: "The turn"

Now clone one more pipe, put it on the other way, and drag the edge on it as you did in step 2. Now it will look something like this:

Step 4: Fitting the pipes

Now there's only one step left after this one, In this step you are supposed to cut the pipes. Press Shift+X or select the clipping tool manually from the "toolbar". Now it's VERY important to be very specefic when you cut the pipe, you don't want any strange looking pipes, or perhaps you do? ;o) Just cut the pipes where they "meet" eachother as the picture below shows:

Step 5: Final step woho ;)

This is the final step, just do as you did on step 4 and then it should look as the pictures below: This how it looks in the grid veiw:

And finally , the 3D view:
