Creating the room
It is no big deal. Make a brush twice as heigh as you want your room to be. I make it the height of 256. Give it a wall texture of your choise. You will now have a brush looking a bit like this one.
It needs further modifications to become a room. We use the make hollow method here. Click "tools" and chose make hollow. Now the following window will appear.
Type -16 as shown in the box above. Now press ok. Your walls will have the thickness of 16 units.
Your room will now look something like the picture above.
Now we will clip the room into two. Use the clipping tool to do this. At first it will look like this in your x/z window.
Click the clipping tool multiple times untill it looks like the picture below and press enter.
